Of course, many leather sandals will pass if you’re not striving for total historical accuracy in your historical clothing, but another option is to make your own renaissance period shoes. Or, technically, mock up rennaisance shoes or make medieval bag shoes. This is easy to do, but one requires an investment, and the other requires work.
